Community Outreach
Before coming to Cambodia the Heights College mission team banded together to bring spare / old clothes together. We then packed the clothes and took it to Cambodia where it was distributed among 13 families in the poorer part of town. While we were there we told them about God.
While we were in the Community we saw the conditions that other people, good people are forced to live with. The first house we visited was the poorest of them all. The house was located at the edge of a river, this meant that whenever the river rose the house would flood. The house itself was built up and made of old wood that looked like it could collapse at any moment. When We entered the house we saw... nothing... the house was completely bare, there was no furniture. The elderly woman that lived there had arthritis and was forced to lie on the hard floorboards with just a rolled up shirt pillow. Luckily we brought a soft quilt for her to lie on, some cloths and some food.
